Eureka Springs Park
Who doesn’t love long boardwalks? Eureka Springs Park is a place devoted to color – so long as that color is green. The water is covered in green. The trunks of trees are covered in green. It can be green as far as can be seen, which isn’t too far considering the density of the growth.
In addition to the boardwalk, pond, and picnic area, Eureka park has a large garden with meandering paths cutting through it. The plants come in all sorts of shapes and designs. There are benches to sit on and watch the bees. One of the paths runs right through a covered area adjacent to the greenhouse. There are hanging plants there. There is even what looks like a floating island from a typical fantasy novel covered in spider plants. Other sections of path run underneath large tree limbs bedecked with smaller plants (epiphytes). As along the boardwalk, the trunks in the garden are wrapped in vines with big leaves. Green! Green! Green!
